There is an article on Wikipedia describes what clickjacking is. In simple words, this attack works by hiding an iframe on top of the visible web objects that prompt user to click on it.

Just wonder is this a bug in YouTube video statistic or just another 2011 April Fools’ Day joke of Google Inc to wow market’s attention?

When you’re in this Top 5 Viral Pictures of 1911, you’ll see it (screenshot) and wonder how could this video with only 304 view counts receives 3518 likes and 427 dislikes?

How To Make YouTube Auto Replay Loop?

There is a replay button, if you want to repeat playback of a YouTube video. But, how to make YouTube auto replay a video repeatedly on the video page until you stop it or close browser window manually?

In the past, one might able to get this done by adding “loop=1&autoplay=1″ parameter in YouTube video URL.

I tried the trick just now, it’s NOT working on IE8, Google Chrome 9.0, and Firefox 3.6, even with “playlist” and “version=3″ parameters added. If you know the trick, please share with me.

Instead of muck about YouTube player parameters in URL, I think it is easier for me to copy the cached video and get a media player freeware to do the job.

When the YouTube video playback completes, there will be a copy of this video left in Windows temp folder (or web browser cache folder) by Adobe Flash Player.

Alternatively, you may consider installing web browser add-on / extension. For example, there is this YouTube Auto Replay add-on for Mozilla Firefox.

As am using Google Chrome at most of the time, I choose to install Auto Replay for YouTube.

After installing this Google Chrome extension, you’ll get a little “Auto Replay” check-box on the YouTube video page (at bottom-right corner of YouTube video player, below the resolution / full screen controls, as shown by screenshot).

When you want a YouTube video to auto replay endlessly, just tick the “auto replay” check-box and the Chrome extension will do it automatically :)

How To Find The Name Of Song In YouTube Video Provided By AudioSwap?

You might able to find the name of background music used by a YouTube video, if that song is provided by AudioSwap service.

Knowing that my dictation is not sweet, so most of the screencasts posted on YouTube are spiced up by background music taken from AudioSwap library, which is free and no worry of copyright or licensing issue :-)

Suppose the speaker and volume are turned on, this YouTube video should playback my screencast and the background music that chosen from AudioSwap.

Thus, it is possible to find the song information of that video, which includes but not limited to artist, song title, playback time and genre:

As shown by the screenshot (above), you should able to find the audio information by clicking “views count” button on the YouTube video page.

Where Does YouTube And Facebook Cache Flash Or MP4 Videos In Windows 7?

Everyone knows that YouTube, Facebook, etc, store a copy of Flash / MP4 video in user’s computer for replay. The small video files, for example, are usually kept in the web browser cache directory.

If you’re watching a big Flash video or high definition MP4 video, however, YouTube / Facebook might not stores these video files in web browser cache folder.

Thus, the intention here is to help you locate the big Flash / MP4 video files cached by different web browsers running on Windows 7:

Internet Explorer 8

Similar to IE7-Vista environment, when IE8 of Windows 7 running in Protected Mode, the Microsoft web browser stores big flash / MP4 video in the hidden, low integrity cache folder, which can be accessed by paste the following path in Windows Explorer address bar and press ENTER:

%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Low

Firefox 3.6.9 and Google Chrome 6.0.472.55

Both of these free and open source web browsers store big Flash / MP4 videos in Windows 7 user’s temp directory:

In my test using IE8, Firefox 3.x, and Google Chrome 6.x to watch Lady Gaga – Alejandro in 1080p HD mode, the cached MP4 video files are all saved according to a filename convention, flaxxxx.tmp, which is made up of fla prefix and .tmp file extension (xxxx is simply alphanumeric).

Note

1) A cached video file is considered full when the video in web page is loaded completely.

2) The cached video file vanishes (deleted) as soon as the browser window / tab that loaded or loading that cached video is closed or opened with another web page.

However, the cached video files are locked when the video page is active and thus you have to use HoboCopy to copy locked file (or similar program that uses Volume Shadow Copy Service, a.k.a. VSS, to backup the Flash video files locked by Adobe Flash player).

Thus, if you have to copy the cached video file (to keep bandwidth usage below quota), do it after loading the video completely and before closing the browser window / tab.

YouTube Tip: Uses Feather Beta For Faster Video Page Loading

How to make YouTube video page loads faster if you have a slow broadband Internet access? Well, if a continuous ping youtube.com result show high packet loss, then complain your ISP as that is the ultimate culprit – 5% or more packet loss can cause terrible browsing experience especially with website over HTTPS connection.

If page loading problem is due to slow or low bandwidth (GPRS or EDGE network?), then you may try the YouTube Feather Beta.

The Feather project attempts to serve YouTube video watch pages with the lowest latency possible by reducing number of features available to the viewer and making use of advanced web techniques for reducing the total amount of bytes downloaded by the browser. – with reference to beta project opt-in page.

1) Go to Feather beta opt-in page,

2) Click the Join the “Feather” Beta hyperlink to temporarily turn on this option,

3) Now, you’re set to see a “lightweight”, “snappy” YouTube video page (not all videos support Feather Beta) – apparently, viewers’ comments and video sharing / embedding options are removed; fewer related videos showing at sidebar (as shown in the following screenshot):

How useful this YouTube Feather Beta is? I guess there is not much help on YouTube video streaming / playback performance except with a clean and faster video page (which might be nice when using YouTube on TV).

How To Convert FLV Video To MP3 Or Rip Audio From YouTube Video?

If you’re looking for a media file converter freeware, think about the RealPlayer Converter. Knowing that it is able to rip audio track from video, I kinda like to use it for converting FLV (Flash video) to MP3.

RealPlayer Converter is part of the RealPlayer SP (an efficient Real Media player freeware), capable to convert a number of media file formats from one to another, with various adjustable audio / video settings to ensure optimal playback on different hardware (PSP, iPod, Playstation, Xbox, PC, Mac, iPhone, Blackberry, Nokia, etc).

Though the freeware doesn’t support H.264 format (both encode and decode; unless pay for it), the converted results are good enough for general playback.

While I am not aware of official download link for RealPlayer Converter alone, I do know a little trick to download the RealPlayer SP standalone installer, which is useful for IT professionals who used to do mass offline installation and to those home users who suffer monthly bandwidth cap imposed by ISP.
