Pah! The First Voice Activated Game For iPhone and iPad

The first voice control game made first debut on Apple App Store. It’s called Pah!, a scrolling shooter game, selling at $0.99 for iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch running iOS 3.0 or above.

That’s right, say “Ahhh” to control the ship and shout “Pah” to shoot the asteroid. Obviously, you can’t play this game anywhere. For example, it will be darn funny when playing the game in a toilet. Also, stop playing it during epidemic or cover up mouth to prevent slaver spreading all over when you shout Pah!

Translate And Configure Raiden III Setting

Finally, I’ve found a friend who can read Japanese to translate the Raiden-III configuration program, i.e. config.exe.

Besides the settings page, he has also help to ‘decrypt’ the Direct3D error message that pop up in my Dell Latitude D410!
Double-click the config.exe program, which is part of the Raiden-III game settings, allows users to define the screen mode (window or full-screen mode) and keyboard or joystick settings for 1st / 2nd player.

The default keyboard settings for 1st player is quite convenient to myself, i.e. the Z key meant for shooting, X key meant for releasing bomb and the Arrow keys are use to move the Raiden jet-fighter in up/down/right/left direction

Now, if the Windows running on PC / laptop failed to open the classic Raiden-III, you might have seen an error message dialog box similar to this:

Depending on the locale available on Windows (using AppLocale on XP or the Vista Ultimate MUI pack), you might see some Japanese words or some weird characters that follow the word Direct3D. My friend translated that for me as “failed to initialize Direct3D”.

According to the official system requirement for playing this classic Raiden-III are as follow:

Windows 2000/XP
Pentium4 (1.7GHz and above) or Celeron (2.0GHz and above)
At least 512MB of RAM
DirectX-compatible graphic card with at least 64MB of RAM and support hardware texture acceleration for texture and lighting (e.g. ATI Radeon 9000 or later nVidia GeForceFX)

Be it a simple or complex kind of game, it’s really fun to have some games in a personal computer (nothing wrong to have them in office PC too)!

And Raiden jet fighter is used to be my favourite at all times (although most of my friends comment that Raiden is for dummy).

As long as I enjoy the game, that’s enough for me to continue favour the game. I doubt there are players who will hate the game that they used to play with when all his/her friends dislike the game.

So, I’m here to consolidate all the fantastic download links of three versions of Raiden PC game that I’ve gathered for my Vista Ultimate.

When I found the Raiden-II download link at Rapidshare.com, I was really excited – Raiden-II used to my top favourite of arcade game during secondary school time!

Then, I found the Raiden-III download link too, but I was not amazed by this latest generation of Raiden. Except the name of Raiden, I don’t get the feel of familiarity about the Raiden jet fighters and style of fire-shooting! I think the clone that called Raiden-X flash game looks more attractive!

But, if not today, I couldn’t know I was wrong with a fake Raiden-3 download!

If not my dear college Jack showing off his new download of Raiden-III arcade game for Windows, I couldn’t know the real Raiden-III is so classic and modern! It’s really a next generation of Raiden Jet-fighters but looks familiar. New weapons and bombs, different Jet battles, amazing sound effects and absolutely catchy graphics!

Thanks Jack who is kind to share with me his finding of Raiden-III download links at Rapidshare.com. Though, this Chinese version of Raiden-III might disappoint those who are not Chinese literate.

Also, it’s not a Unicoded version. But, my English version of Windows Vista Ultimate with Chinese MUI pack installed is just nice to support non-Unicoded Chinese software!

Takara Tomy, a Japanese toy marker, will likely start selling i-Sobot in the coming October to run ahead year-end sales and Christmas gift promotions. The classical i-Sobot will command a “cheaper” price tag starting from 31,290 Yen or 257 USD while the special i-Sobot edition with Webcam implant on its head will ask a price tag from 344 USD!

How To Download Raiden-X Flash Game From Rapidshare With Internet Explorer

I wrote about Raiden-X flash game download link in Rapidshare.com that I’ve found yesterday. But, you might wonder how do I download and play it offline.

If the Raiden-X flash game is not hosted in Rapidshare.com, or if it’s a one-click direct-download link that without require one to enter captcha (verification code), you can easily right-click the link and select “Save Target As…”.

So, how to download the Raiden-X shockwave-flash game from Rapidshare.com?

Because the Raiden-X flash game is not compressed or zipped, Internet Explorer will not pop up the download dialog box for you to specify where to save it in local drive! IE will attempt to render or play the shockwave-flash game after it’s downloaded to temporarily Internet file cache folder.

As seen in the bottom-left of IE status bar (picture above), the file is being downloaded to temporarily file folder. Once the Raiden-X download is completed (the bottom-left of IE status bar displays DONE), you can save a copy from the IE cache folder to elsewhere for offline playing:

Click Tools button and select Internet Options
Click the Settings button of Browsing History section

Press ALT + D keyboard shortcut to highlight Windows Explore Address Bar
Append \content.ie5 to the folders path in address bar and press ENTER.
The downloaded Raiden-X flash game, as well as other temporarily files downloaded from Internet by IE7 of XP SP2, can be found in one of the folders here.

[ The content.IE5 folder is not displayed by simply enable View Hidden and System files option, unless the superhidden registry key is turn on as well! ]
