How To Embed Facebook Video Of Friends On Any Websites?

For those videos posted by you on Facebook, there is an explicit link reads “embed this video” on the video page (as shown by the screenshot below).

Embed Facebook video on any sites.

Having said that, it’s possible to embed any Facebook videos (posted by others) on any sites, by referring to the unique video ID. For example, when the mouse pointer rests above the Facebook video, its hyperlink (that contains video ID) appears at Status Bar of web browser:

Extracts the Facebook video ID.

So, extract the Facebook video ID and use the “standard” video embedding code to share the Facebook video on any sites (apparently, red text is the video ID):
<object width="500" height="340" ><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="movie" value="http://www.facebook.com/v/213000658726457" /><embed src="http://www.facebook.com/v/213000658726457" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="500" height="340"></embed></object>
Tips:
  • Right click on video and copy its URL to Notepad, then it’s easier to extract the video ID.
  • The embedding code is taken from “embed this video” link (1st screenshot).
  • Change the width and height value in embedding code accordingly to suit your website/blog.

And, this is the sample of Facebook video embedded here, using the code above:

Depends on the video privacy setting configured by uploader, the embedded video might show “secure video” message and visitors may or may not allowed to watch the embedded video after login to Facebook. Of course, if the video has removed from Facebook, the embedded video will not work too!
