April Fools’ Day 2010: Gmail Login Home Page Missing Vowel

It’s Google tradition to introduce official hoax each year during the All Fools’ Day. For 2010, the Gmail login home page appears with weird words.

At first, I thought Gmail being hacked (by the new “super” power from the east), since the SSL certificate verified by VeriSign confirms that I am visiting to the right domain (clearly not a fake / cloned site of Gmail by Chinese supporters).

April Fool 2010: The missing vowel in Gmail login home page.

Then I realized this is a joke after stumbled upon the latest post in official Gmail blog, titled “Today’s Vowel Outage” – the weird words is a result of removing vowel by intention – Happy April Fools’ Day!
