Save And Play Video From YouTube Or FLURL

YouTube, Google Video, FLULR, LiveVideo are many of the favourite video clip hosting sites that suck substantial broadband bandwidth. Anyway, they’re the source of fun and vitamin for soul!
FLV Player 1.3.3 is a freeware version of Flash Video player
Most, if not all, of these sites stream the video in FLV file format (Flash Video). Normally, most web browsers will save a copy of web content in the cache folder (e.g. the Temporary Internet Files folder or TIF in Internet Explorer), including the FLV files.

Having said that, it’s possible to backup a copy of your favourite video by retrieving it from the cache folder!

How to retrieve or save FLV flash video from Vista IE7?
  1. Click on theTools button followed by the Internet Options menu
  2. Click on the Settings button in Browser History section.
  3. Click on the View Files button to open up Windows Explorer.
  4. Click the Address bar of Windows Explorer and append \Low\Content.IE5 at the end of IE7 cache folder path.

Now, you can search and copy the Flash video files reside in the folders here to your backup folder!

(Not all sites cache the flash video file with a .flv extension. For example, YouTube cache the FLV files with get_video file name!).

How to play the FLV Flash video file in hard disk?

There are many FLV Player available as freeware in the Net, e.g. the FLV Player 1.3.3 of Martijn de Visser.

While the FLV file type (.flv) associated to FLV Player 1.3.3 (setup during installation time), you can open them by double-click or drag and drop the video files to the FLV Player window!
